I need an outdoor wooden gate repaired and adjusted. One rotted slat needs to be replaced so another can be affixed. The fence also needs to be adjusted so that it can close. It is currently too low to fully close. This can be achieved either by sawing off some of the bottom or by raising the hinges. This job would suit someone with carpentry skills.

My old back fence needs a bit of maintenance. I think the fence is around 9m long, 2.4m high. It’s getting old and the strong winds around here aren’t helping. The panels were originally nailed in and quite a few are coming loose, so I’d like to get them all screwed in. There’s also a couple of rails that need to be re-enforced with long screws into the posts to strengthen and straighten them. You’ll probably need a professional-grade power drill to fix the fence rails. I also need to get one of my decking boards replaced, it has some dry rot. I assume you’ll cut it on one of the joists, to replace the rotten portion, approx 2-2.5m length (not the whole board). 70mm wide, looks like merbau. If you can’t do this, and can only do the fence work, that’s fine. Ideally I’d like the work done this weekend (13 or 14 Dec) or next Sunday (21 Dec).
