I recently built a door in the walk away leading to the ensuite. They had to build a frame and close the gap between door and ceiling and put in a cornice. I’m getting quotes at this stage to see how much it would cost to have the whole area painted and matched to the surrounding. A small section of my front porch cornice has fallen off. The missing piece is approx. 1.7 m, including two corners. The ceiling is solid and dry (it’s an outdoor area exposed to weather, so looks like the adhesive has failed.) I’m pretty sure the cornice profile is 75mm Gyprock Symphony (photos attached). We had a door installed and gap in the wall that has been patched. Guy moved away before he could finish so we just need the gaps in the giprock boards filled and levelled with the wall and cornice installed and prepped for painting. Shouldn’t take more than a couple of hours, just haven’t had the time to get it done. We have most of the materials including the cornice, cornice adhesive etc. but feel free to look through what we have and see what you might still need. Also have about 3-4 holes in our ceiling from fan installation and removing the old light fixture that we’d love to have patched as well.
