We are experiencing an issue with a living room door. It appears to be an issue with the spindle bar: i.e. bar that is connecting the door handles on either side appears to be too short, so after closing the door an x number of times, it simply falls out. Meaning we are only able to open it from one side, locking us either in or out of the room. While we were able to apply a temporary fix, it is happening with increasing frequency. So it might simply be a matter of replacing the spindle bar or replacing the door handle in its entirety (if that would be easier / a better fix).
