I’m looking for an experienced heating/HIU engineer to diagnose an issue with the heating controls in my flat. I have an HIU (Heat Interface Unit) and a wall-mounted heating controller/thermostat. The wall controller does not appear to be communicating with the HIU correctly — changing the heating settings/turning the heating on does not seem to trigger the HIU or radiators. The HIU has previously had a faulty actuator valve head replaced. The previous engineer replaced the actuator and got the heating working, but I don't think the wall controller/controls were properly investigated. I therefore need someone who understands BOTH: HIUs / Heat Interface Units Heating thermostats, programmers and control systems The communication/connection between the wall controller, receiver/relay and HIU Electrical/wiring diagnosis where appropriate I’m looking for someone to diagnose the actual fault rather than simply replace the actuator again. Please only apply if you have experience with HIUs AND heating controls/thermostats. I can provide photos of the HIU and wall controller, as well as the previous engineer's report.

I have a boiler which has stopped working. I showed it to a plumber and he told me it needed a new Hot Water Actuator Valve but is quoting me ridiculous price for it when I know it is not that expensive. I need a plumber who can source this and fix my boiler.

Boiler is a Worcester Bosch Greenstar 34 CDi Classic ErP and the Bosch EasyControl CT200 has already been purchased. There is currently no room thermostat installed, so this is a new installation rather than a replacement. Job to include connecting the EasyControl to the boiler, running any required 2-core thermostat cable, mounting the thermostat in a suitable location, and commissioning/testing the system. Parts to be ordered separately and not included in price here. - system pressure was low. I topped up the pressure and reset the boiler; however, the boiler still failed to fire. The appliance was displaying the fault code shown in the photographs provided. I referred to the manufacturer's instructions, which identify this fault as relating to the gas valve. I then contacted the manufacturer directly to confirm, and they advised that the fault is associated with the gas valve and ignition electrodes, with replacement of these components being the recommended course of action. The active fault codes displayed on the front of the boiler provide a clear indication of the fault condition being detected by the appliance, and the manufacturer has confirmed that these codes relate to the gas valve and ignition electrodes.
