Handyman wanted: painting & general maintenance – £200/day I’m looking for a reliable, practical handyman for general maintenance, painting, cleaning and clearance work at a student house in Nottingham. £200 per day, excluding materials. Current jobs include: • Repair kitchen cupboard door • Clean whiteboard • Deep clean kitchen floor • Weed backyard • Clear cellar and take around 10 unwanted items to the tip – van essential • Clean bathroom vents • Assemble/fit new chest of drawers in front bedroom (approx. 50cm × 1m) • Attend to chest of drawers in first-floor back bedroom • Paint apex of pitched ceiling (see photo -a 12ft ladder is essential) • Fix 3 door handles • Check fire-door closers are operating correctly • Replace downstairs bathroom towel rail • Fit new toilet seat • Refit shelf in back bedroom • Shampoo stairs and landing carpet • Clean top bedroom window • Fix top banister rail • Clean all skirting boards I’m looking for someone experienced and versatile who is happy to work through a varied list of jobs efficiently. You will need your own tools and a van for the tip run. The rate is £200 for a full day’s work, with materials paid separately. Please let me know your experience, availability and whether you have a van.

We have a Venetian blind that we have ordered and it’s slight too wide. We need it trimmed on the side and slats. We want it fitted inside (recess). It’s 220cm wide and the recess is 218cm wide.

Small/medium ish roller blind need fitting just 1. Never done this before, single mum of two baby twins, struggling and have loads of jobs to do if this goes well so don’t wanna spend loads on getting someone to help with just one blind, this is the tester🤞🙏

The door to install is at the rear of the garage and its size is 813mm x 1981mm x 44mm. As this is not a standard size it will need to be cut from a taller solid core wooden door (2032mm) and lipping applied. Door will also need to be fitted with a door handle/lock and new hinges to frame (supplied). Front garage frame also needs repair, to splice new wood in ready to be painted (pictured).

3 roller blinds to cut and put up please. I’m free after 4 and weekends. Roller blinds are already up so it should be just a case of swapping over once they have been altered.
