Electrician needed – flickering lights (fault finding) Some of the lights in my flat flicker on and off. Others are fine. It affects mainly the hallway and one light in the study area, and these lights aren’t on a dimmer switch. The flickering is intermittent and has been going on for a few months. After a power cut yesterday, the power in most of the kitchen has not returned. I have tried removing alll appliances from the plugs, however the RCD fuse remains down. Boiler not working either.

Gas engineer checked. There seems to be an electrical wiring/connection issue in the boiler room affecting the immersion heaters. The lower immersion isn’t receiving power, and there are signs of overheating/discolouration at the fuse/connection. The upper immersion works, but its isolator gets very hot when in use.
