Description: Looking for a handyman to fix a door that isn't closing properly, plus check a window lock — small job, should take 60 minutes or less. Task 1 – Door adjustment A standard internal door isn't quite closing/latching properly. Most likely just needs the hinge pins adjusted, but may need light sanding or planing of the door edge if it's the door itself that's slightly swollen or misaligned.It is only a few mm off. Task 2 – Window turn lock A simple window turn lock needs inspecting and adjusting — it may just need a small height adjustment so it latches correctly. We want to add a door handle to the outside of our door. Currently, the door can only be opened from the inside once fully shut. We’ve been told this is due to the manufacturer’s specific design (a German company that is now closed) and that we may need to contact them. However, we’ve seen that many shops and restaurants in our same building (same door) have successfully had a handyman make this modification.
