I have a circa 3x5m Victorian living room in Stalybridge. The existing carpet has been removed down to the original wooden floorboards, and the client wishes to have real wood, herringbone flooring installed. The client is purchasing the flooring and underlay materials independently unless the trader has access to any trade discounts from their own suppliers. Please note this is likely to be a traditional Tongue-and-Groove (T&G) system, not a click-lock system. The job requires installing a high-quality underlay and floating the herringbone pattern, manually glueing all T&G joints with wood adhesive. Because it is a Victorian property, we require the tradesperson to check the subfloor for level tolerances before laying. Please indicate if your quote includes joint adhesive, door trimming, or if you recommend overlaying plywood first.
