Scope: Use Acrow props to temporarily support the roof beam Cut away 15–20cm of rotten timber at the top of the post Replace with a new matching treated pine hardwood section Fix using structural screws + construction adhesive Install a steel post cap to stop future water ingress Apply timber preservative The rest of the post is solid and does not need replacement. Photos attached. Looking for someone experienced with verandah / deck structural repairs.

We had a builder cut into our wall to inspect mould (none found) and we have all the right things for patching it up however the almost 1m X 1m slab is only attached to one wooden post and will be uneven if we don’t get it reinforced behind it properly (will require a professional to do just the reinforcing, we can do the patching ourselves as we have the materials already. I imagine it would take a wooden plank or two behind it, some power drilling and done.

We have a commercial awning with a manual retraction system that is no longer operating correctly. The crank handle turns freely, but the awning does not retract or extend, suggesting a possible issue with the gearbox or internal drive connection.

There is a straight crack running horizontal to our outdoor wall (double brick and rendered) Hoping to get it cosmetically patched up as close to the same rendered wall colour and texture as possible.
