Description: I need an old external fabric/window awning removed from a second-storey front window of a brick unit. The job includes removing the awning fabric and the attached metal arms/brackets/fixtures, as far as this can be done safely. The awning does not need to be kept or preserved. It can be cut down, cut in half, or dismantled in pieces if that makes removal easier. I have a ladder available and may also have some basic tools, including screwdrivers, pliers, drill, Stanley knife and possibly a hacksaw. Please bring any tools you specifically need, especially for removing brackets or cutting the metal frame if required. The job is removal only — no replacement, repair or painting required. I just need the awning and metal pieces taken down safely and brought down to ground level. Disposal would be helpful if possible, but not essential. There are nearby external cables/fixtures, so care is needed when removing it. Please only respond if you are comfortable working at height and can do the job safely. Photos attached show the awning, access and location. I’d keep “as far as this can be done safely” because if a bracket is deeply fixed into brickwork or close to wiring, you don’t want some hero with a drill creating a new problem.

There are tears along the seams in the awning material and I would like it repaired

Motorhome. Mercedes high top Sprinter awning is leaking from first bracket over passenger door into van. Possibly awning may need to be unscrewd to get at back of brakets, not sure. Silicon needs to be stripped off as much as possible . Screws need to be tightened and then high quality silicon filling needs to be placed over screws, around bracket edges and inside bracket gap. Location around Chermside area. Currently travelling. can drive to location if not too far. Thankyou. Pictures are available. Needs to be done a.s.a.p. Good skills with silicon is preferred.

Metal fastening of external awnings loosened from brick wall

Roofing/flashing repairer required to inspect and repair water ingress issues in 3 areas of a house/carport. To address the source of water ingress, reseal/waterproof the affected junctions, and replace any locally damaged fascia/trim where required. Large-scale replacement works are not expected unless clearly necessary. Part A – Carport corner/pillar Water appears to be entering the corner above the brick pillar, causing the black fascia/trim board to rot, with staining/runoff down the pillar. Required: Inspect and identify likely entry point Carry out targeted resealing/waterproofing of the junction/flashing Remove and replace the damaged section of fascia/trim if needed Make the corner watertight Part B – Front awning/patio roof Leak where the metal awning roof meets the house wall. Required: Inspect roof-to-wall junction Reseal flashing/joints as needed to stop water ingress Part C – Rear awning/patio roof Similar issue to Part B, but along a longer section. Required: Inspect leak points Carry out targeted resealing of flashing/joints as needed Ensure water is draining away correctly Photos attached. Please quote for the repair work needed to make the affected areas watertight. If any larger replacement works are considered necessary, please explain why and provide that separately from the base repair scope.

The awning window highlighted in yellow is what needs to be replaced to a fixed window. This is to stop the glass door getting smashed if the awning window is open and someone opens the door into it.

Moved into house 2025. Bathroom ensuite window stuck since moving in - awning style - would like to improve ventilation, seeing if anyone can try to open it, ideally would love to be able to open/close it (no fly screen). Access to window can be inside ensuite and on top of single story garage roof (ladders available). Weekends and wednesdays.
