I have a laminate floating floor in my apartment where a few boards near the bathroom door have separated, leaving visible gaps. The paint at the base of the door frame is also chipped and peeling. I’m preparing the apartment for sale and want it to look clean and seamless. Looking for someone to: Tap the separated boards back together and close the gaps Trim the base of the door frame if the floor is pinched, so it doesn’t separate again Fill any remaining small gaps with colour-matched laminate filler If a board needs replacing, swap one from a hidden area (e.g. a wardrobe) so it matches. I’m looking for a handyman or carpenter to extend a small section of my existing timber deck. Please refer to the attached before-and-after photos for the location and the proposed finished result. • Build a small timber deck extension measuring approximately 600 mm long × 250 mm wide. • I will supply all required materials, including timber, support framing, post, concrete, fixings and any other necessary hardware, however I will need the Airtasker to go with me to Bunnings together to purchase the materials beforehand, just to make sure we have everything we need for the job on the day. • Ensure the new section is aligned with the existing deck and sits at the same height and level. • Match the existing timber decking as closely as possible. • No decking stain or oiling is required. I will take care of the oiling and colour matching at a later stage. • Install a suitable support post beneath the new section, secured into the ground with concrete. • Alternatively, if more suitable, install a small concrete strip footing to provide adequate support. • The extension will serve as a base for a fence post to be installed above it. • Leave the work area clean and tidy upon completion.

Looking for someone to sand back our timber deck, about 39 m² (7.6 m x 5.1 m). Sanding only, I’ll do the staining myself. The exposed section is grey and weathered, the part under the alfresco is in good condition. Pics attached.

Looking for someone to clean, prepare and oil two small outdoor timber decks. Total area is approximately 8–10 m². Deck 1 – Lightwell: Approx. 1m x 2m. Clear and pull back climbing vines that are encroaching onto the decking boards and fence line. Clean and prepare the timber. Deck 2 – Courtyard: Approx. 1.8m x 3m. Clear surface dirt and prepare the timber. Cleaning/Prep: Wash and scrub both decks using an appropriate deck cleaner to remove dirt, mildew and grey weathering. Allow the timber to dry thoroughly before oiling. Oiling: Apply two coats of suitable decking oil, following the manufacturer's recommended drying time between coats. Materials: Please include all deck cleaner, decking oil and other consumable materials required for the job in your quote. Access: Both decks are ground-level with straightforward access. Water and power are available. The main priority is a clean, neat and well-prepared finish rather than extensive restoration of the timber.

Floors are 4 years old. Some chips and scratches I'd like repaired/concealed where possible. I'd like a coating (probably polyurethane type?) that will better protect the floor and last a good while before needing recoating/refinishing again. Current finish appears to be fairly natural/matte or satin. I'd like to go for satin this time for a slightly better and modern look. There is a small wonky bit on edge of our timber decking - circled in the photo below. When you step on it, it is bouncy. Looking for a handyman to help me fix this!

The damaged area is approximately 40–50 cm in diameter and appears to be surface burn damage from a fire pit or hot object.
