Shower leak – diagnose, reseal/waterproof & repair rotted timber underneath I have a leaking shower that needs to be properly diagnosed and repaired. The house is on stumps and there is easy access underneath the shower. From underneath I can see water dripping around/from the shower waste/pipe area when the shower is being used. There is also visible water damage and some rotting/deteriorated timber underneath the shower (photos attached). I’m looking for someone experienced with leaking showers/bathroom repairs who can: Identify exactly where the water is coming from – e.g. shower waste/pipe connection, waterproofing, grout, silicone/seals or another source. Repair the actual source of the leak rather than just applying silicone as a temporary fix. Reseal/regrout the shower where required and advise if any waterproofing work is needed. Inspect the damaged timber/subfloor underneath the shower. Repair or replace the affected rotted timber where required and make sure the shower/subfloor remains structurally sound. Check the waste/pipework underneath and repair any leaking connection if that is contributing to the problem. Access underneath the house is available and the affected area is directly accessible, which should make inspection easier. I’ve attached photos of the shower and the area underneath showing the water damage. I have a blocked toilet that is not flushing properly.
