Fireplace decommissioning + make good I’m looking for someone to remove/modify the inside of an existing fireplace, square off the opening, and cap/seal the chimney so it is no longer operational. The fireplace previously had a gas heater installed, which has now been removed and line capped by a plumber. We’re now wanting to convert it into a neat, non-functioning decorative fireplace recess (for a wine rack) - the final 2 images are examples. House is a 1950s double brick veneer in Braybrook. Hi, I’m looking for an experienced handyman or plasterer to inspect and repair a slight sagging section of my garage ceiling in Braybrook, VIC. The issue is not the garage door opener and not the cornice coming loose. The cornice is still attached. The problem appears to be that the ceiling sheet / plasterboard near the front edge of the garage has dropped slightly in the middle. I checked it by hand and the ceiling still feels firm, not soft or crumbling. However, I cannot access the ceiling cavity and I’m unable to confirm the timber framing position above.
