Hi there, I need a licensed plumber and gas fitter to manage the plumbing and gas works for a kitchen and laundry renovation. We are moving to a fully integrated laundry and a modernized kitchen. Timeline: The project runs between September 23rd and September 30th. This requires two separate visits. Scope of Work: Visit 1: Rough-in (Around Sept 23rd-25th) Safely cap off the existing water pipes and gas connections. We are doing an integrated laundry. You will need to remove the existing wall-mounted washing machine points and redirect the plumbing so the washing machine connects directly from within the new laundry sink cabinet. Visit 2: Fit-off (Around Sept 28th-30th, after cabinets are in) Laundry: Install the new laundry unit, sink, and mixer tap. Kitchen: Reconnect the kitchen sink and gas cooktop. Install the new kitchen mixer tap. Requirements: Must be a licensed plumber and gas fitter. Must provide a Compliance Certificate for the gas work. Licensed Type A Gasfitter required – suspected gas leak at hot-water unit Gas smell is noticeable outside around the gas hot-water system only while hot water is running. No smell when the unit isn’t operating. AusNet has advised us to have a gasfitter inspect it. Need leak testing and inspection of the hot-water appliance, burner/ignition and gas connections. We have an Everdure 4-burner gas cooktop in our townhouse and the gas pressure/flame from the burners is currently very weak. The cooktop still lights and operates, but the flame output is much lower than it should be and cooking takes considerably longer. We own the townhouse and have access to the property's gas meter/regulator. Photos of the cooktop and gas meter are attached.
