Lay and connect a gas line from the meter to the home, test. Trench in garden dug and ready, 40-45cm depth, 10.5m length. Then run 6.8m length along the wall (floor level). Connect both ends, warning tape. The meter is exposed and easy to access. Materials to be supplied by the plumber (unless you prefer and give me the list, I can buy them): 25mm poly PE pipe underground, 10.5m; 20mm copper along the wall (clips every 1- 1.5m), 6.8m length, and fittings. Copper underground OK, but need to indicate as materials will be more expensive. The line supplies 3 items: a cooktop, an instant water heater and an old heater. Pressure test and certificate. Materials approx $300, labour 3- 4 hours ($450) Please note: No need to cover the trench or lay bricks; it's someone else's job. Hello, I am looking for a gas appliance repair technician to fix my Asko cooktop. The burners keep clicking continuously. The issue started with the large burner, but now it is happening on three of the burners. I have already cleaned the cooktop, and the burners are working normally otherwise, but the constant clicking sound is worrying. Could you please provide an estimated cost to fitx it? I’m looking for a qualified appliance technician to inspect and repair my Smeg gas cooktop (model CIR93AXS3). Issue details: • The largest burner ignites normally. • However, when releasing the knob (even after holding it down for an extended period), the flame goes out. • A “click” sound can be heard from beneath the knob at the moment it shuts off. • This mainly happens during the first use of the day (cold start). • After multiple re-ignitions, the burner tends to stay lit. • The flame fully reaches the thermocouple. Based on preliminary research, it may be a failing thermocouple or possibly the gas safety valve. I’m seeking someone experienced with gas cooktops (preferably Smeg) to diagnose and replace the faulty component if required.
