Top Glass Fencing related questions
In Australia, glass fencing usually costs $200 to $275 per metre—the most expensive out of all types because of its fragility and sourcing. The price, especially for glass pool fence installation, is affected by factors like the fence’s design, size, colour, thickness, and your location, among others.
Your hired specialist is expected to carry the essential tools and equipment, plus have the requisite knowledge to install your glass fence. For the materials, we can connect you with Taskers who can have everything covered, including the sourcing. Your Tasker can purchase your fencing materials from the hardware store on your behalf. Otherwise, you can opt to buy the fence panels yourself and hire a fence fitter to do the installation.
What you can provide are the materials and components of the fence itself. But if you don’t have them, some Taskers can purchase it for you upon request.
The time it takes to do fencing service can vary from Tasker to Tasker. For a bigger picture, the duration of production is also affected by the fence’s size and the task’s complexity. Is bolting involved? Is digging into your backyard necessary? Smaller fences may take an afternoon to complete, while bigger ones can demand a couple of days. It’s best to ask your Tasker for an estimate on how long the installation will take.
As long as your fence falls within property lines and follows local laws, you don’t need to inform your neighbour about your plans. Regardless, talking to them about it may be beneficial anyway. Not only is it a common courtesy; it can also help you avoid legal trouble if your neighbour disputes your fence. If you need more expert advice, you can also post a task on our platform specifically for fencing consultation.
Pool fencing is necessary for everyone’s safety, most especially to small children to avoid chances of drowning in the pool. Some small pets can also be involved in the same accident, so booking a pool fence installation near you is a wise idea. It can also minimise the amount of debris getting into your pool and help cut down on maintenance costs. Who doesn’t want peace of mind while having fun?
Absolutely. You can book Taskers skilled in aluminium fencing, Colorbond fencing, wood fencing, and more.

What can you expect from a glass fence installation service?
What can you expect from a glass fence installation service?
Whether you want it semi-framed or frameless, glass fencing can be installed with just a few steps through Airtasker. Before booking, explore these options that can spruce up your home and add more convenience:
Inspection, measurements, and procurement of materials
Upon arriving, your hired glass fence specialist is expected to check your area.
For example, for glass pool fence installation, the Tasker can take all the necessary measurements to fit your pool fencing the right way, ensuring your pool can be fully enclosed, and the gate is installed at the right spot. Some installers can remove obstacles within the worksite upon request.
If you don’t have the materials—like panels, spigots, rail brackets, locks—in your arsenal, some Taskers can purchase these for you upon request. Then, the specialist can build each part of the fence and install them following the manufacturer’s instructions, and more importantly, in compliance with your state’s safety regulations.
Your hired expert can also dig holes in your backyard or deck to accommodate the posts. They can place each post and section of your pool fencing in the best spots then bolt each post down. Installing gate latches and locks at the prescribed height also follow.
Glass pool fence installation
Kids, as well as pets, often get overly excited with water activities, so investing in glass pool fencing is a must. This barrier reduces the chance of accidents, plus makes it easier to oversee the little ones. Since it’s near the water, glass is ideal as it doesn’t rust or rot, and effortlessly creates a cooler atmosphere.
The Tasker can also ensure added safety for your next pool party by checking that the gate hinges have the right tension, so they activate the self-closing feature whenever anyone enters or exits. Some can also build barricades on windows or other potential entry points close to the pool.
Glass balcony fence installation
Hanging out on the balcony? Whether you’re staying for some fresh air post-work shift or catching up with a sibling over coffee, the experience can be much better if there’s glass fencing installed.
Apart from adding security and safety, this kind of fence lets natural light pass through and doesn’t distract you from the majestic view from your spot.
Glass staircase fence installation
This installation is a go-to choice for folks wanting to transform their home’s design into a more minimalist or modern one—you can even pair it with concrete, wooden, or marble staircases. It strikes a balance between simple and elegant, and even protects kids climbing up the stairs. Since it’s transparent, it makes the stairway look spacious, too!
Glass fence repair
If your fence gets damaged from extreme weather or daily wear and tear, Taskers can repair it, even if fixes can be a bit more complicated with glass.
But if you’ve come to a decision to ultimately remove it, you can also hire a fencing contractor to tear it down.

Glass pool fence

Frenchs Forest NSW 2086, Australia
29th Sep 2026
Hi, we are looking to replace our existing pool fence at our home in Frenchs Forest in preparation for selling the property. We are after a straightforward, cost-effective frameless glass pool fence with black spigots. Our priority is compliance and price rather than a premium architectural finish. Could you please quote for: * Removal and disposal of the existing pool fence, shown separately if possible * Supply of compliant frameless glass pool fencing * Black stainless steel spigots and black hardware * Supply and installation of the required pool gate/s * Full installation * Installation that meets current NSW pool barrier requirements and is suitable for subsequent compliance inspection/certification We are not in a rush and can be flexible with timing if this helps with pricing. We are currently comparing quotes, so an indicative price per linear metre and approximate total cost would be very helpful before arranging a site visit. Photos and measurements can be provided. Thank you.
