I am renovating my kitchen/house and need the following work completed: 1. Safely disconnect and isolate the power to an existing built-in electric oven/cooktop so it can be removed. The appliance is hardwired (not plugged into a power point). 2. Replace 4 × ceiling fans and 5 x ceiling lights with temporary fixtures (all will be replaced later with new lights/fans, current ones need to removed for painting). This is the first stage of the renovation. After the kitchen and laundry strip out is complete, I will also need a licensed electrician to return to connect the new oven and other electrical work, so there will be additional work available. I’ve tried carefully unscrewing it myself but don’t want to force it and risk breaking the glass or damaging the fitting. Looking for someone to come and safely loosen and remove the glass cover.
