Hi there, I need an experienced glazier or handyman to help modify an existing tall sliding wardrobe door (approx. 2.9m – 3.0m high). Please refer to the attached photos for details. Scope of Work: 1. Cut Mirror: Cut the existing full-length mirror into two separate pieces — one main piece at 2400mm and a top piece at 600mm. 2. Frame Modification: Cut the side aluminum profiles to match the new split layout. 3. Add Mid-Rail & Timber Support: • Install a timber backing strip/rail to provide structural support for the middle join. • Supply and install two horizontal aluminum top/mid rails (connected/supported by the timber rail) to securely hold both split mirror panels in place. 4. Reassembly: Reassemble the complete door using the modified frame and original top/bottom tracks. Requirements: • Experience with glass/mirror cutting and aluminum frame assembly. • Must bring proper tools for precision glass and aluminum cutting. I am looking a glazier to trim mirror sliding door for my wardrobe. The problem I have that the mirror door is way too wide which makes it very difficult to access the middle part of the wardrobe. The entire width of wardrobe is 1800 mm. The mirror door is 1150 mm, the second door is 900 mm. I would like to trim it to make it a bit narrower, say about 950 mm. If you have a professional opinion how wide the door should be please let me know. See photo attached.
