I’m looking for an experienced curtain installer/handyperson to install two ceiling-mounted curtain tracks and hang curtains across a living-room window. Details: • Wall-to-wall width: approximately 3.25 m • Available recess depth between the existing roller blind and the front edge: 20 cm • Two tracks required: one for a full-height blockout curtain and one for a sheer curtain • The existing roller blinds will remain in place • Tracks should be approximately 3.24 m long and trimmed to fit on site • I would like the sheer curtain to use an S-fold/wave system • The installation is in a rental apartment, so it must be neat and use the minimum number of secure ceiling fixings • The ceiling substrate is currently unknown and must be checked before drilling Please bring the appropriate tools, ceiling anchors/fixings and a detector to check for electrical services or other obstructions. The tracks must be securely installed and suitable for the combined weight of floor-length curtains. I haven’t purchased the tracks or curtains yet. Please advise whether you can supply suitable white aluminium tracks and all required components, or let me know exactly what I should purchase before installation. Hi! I'm looking for someone handy to install a clean, proper curtain setup on one bedroom window. Current situation: - The old curtain is torn and hangs on two small black knob brackets screwed inside the window frame. It doesn't cover the window properly and lets light in on the sides. - There are a few old screw holes on the frame that could be filled/tidied up. What I already have: - New blackout curtain with a rod pocket (gathered top, taupe/grey) - Matte black curtain rod bracket(s) for a 25mm rod (Sandleford BFC25) What I'd like: - Rod mounted a bit higher and wider than the window frame (probably need to drill further out) so the curtain fully covers the window and blocks the light - Neat, straight, solid install - Remove the old brackets and patch the holes if possible You're welcome to bring your own materials if you think they'd work better: your own rod, brackets, curtains or anything else. Just include them in your offer. I don't have to use what I already have. I'm open to ideas! If you know a better or simpler way to get a clean result, please suggest it in your offer. Looking for an experienced handyman or curtain installer to supply and install floor-to-ceiling curtains around the walls of our podcast studio in Melbourne. We currently have timber acoustic wall panels and want to create a second, interchangeable studio backdrop using light cream/off-white curtains that can be pulled across when needed and opened to reveal the existing timber walls. Back wall is roughly 5m, both side walls roughly 3m. So 11m total. Scope of Work: - Supply and install curtain tracks along the studio walls, including corners. - Supply and install light cream/off-white curtains with a soft, premium look and natural folds. - Curtains should run from just below the ceiling to the floor. - Curtains must be easy to open and close so we can switch between the two studio looks. - Ensure a neat, professional installation suitable for a filming and podcast studio. Ideally looking for a heavier fabric that looks premium on camera. (Also happy to source our own curtains if that's easier) Would prefer a continuous track system that allows curtains to move smoothly around corners, but not essential I've attached photos of the current studio and AI mockups showing the desired result. I am renting and am looking for a blind to be installed within the window frame for sun and heat blocking. The window already has shutters so I need something to go on the inside of the frame. I have taken measurements (below) but they are rough so I would prefer if you came to take measurements. Because I am renting I would like the cheapest option that is not going to do too much damage to the window frame, even something temporary but that is easy to use. Hang two large curtains in an apartment bedroom. The windownis around 3m wide and currently has 2 roller blinds that will need to be removed. A new double track will need to be installed into a bit of a tight gap (see pics). I am able to be a second pair of hands for lifting and holding but I need someone who has installed curtains before.
