I’m looking for an experienced commercial video conferencing technician to attend an office in Melbourne CBD and diagnose several existing Yealink Microsoft Teams Room systems. Equipment includes Yealink MeetingBar A20 and A30 units with CTP18 touch screens. The A$350 budget is for the callout and up to two hours of onsite diagnosis. Any additional time, replacement parts or cabling work must be quoted and approved separately. Issues to investigate: * The Boardroom CTP18 disconnects every few minutes, goes blank and displays a “CTP18 Disconnected” message on the main screen. * Remote meeting participants sometimes have difficulty hearing people in several meeting rooms. * There may be an issue with the network ports, PoE or existing internal cabling. * The rooms have glass walls and hard surfaces, so the acoustics may also affect audio clarity. The technician should: * Check the CTP18 network connection, PoE, pairing and firmware. * Check the A20/A30 configuration and firmware. * Test the network ports and cabling. * Conduct a live Teams call to test microphone pickup and audio quality. * Advise whether the audio issues are caused by equipment, configuration or room acoustics. * Provide a short written summary of findings and recommendations. Please only respond if you have direct experience supporting Yealink A20/A30 MeetingBars and CTP18 touch screens. If fixed cabling work is required, you must have the appropriate ACMA cabling registration. This task is initially for diagnosis only. Experienced onsite network/UniFi technician wanted to migrate an existing rack-managed network to a new Superloop NBN HFC service. Equipment onsite: • NBN HFC connection box/NTD with 2.5G Ethernet output • UniFi Dream Machine Pro / Pro-class gateway (current WAN appears connected to a legacy Nokia fibre handoff) • UniFi switches, patch panels, existing Wi-Fi/APs and Ethernet wall ports • Nokia legacy fibre handoff and Huawei carrier equipment • Hikvision CCTV Scope: 1. Inspect and identify the correct UniFi gateway WAN port and cable path. Check whether the regular RJ45 WAN (likely port 9) is appropriate for the service speed or whether SFP+/RJ45 is needed. 2. Back up/export or photograph the current UniFi WAN/Internet settings before changes. 3. Configure WAN IPv4 to DHCP/IPoE (automatic IP), DNS automatic initially, no PPPoE credentials and no VLAN unless Superloop confirms one is required. Do not change the LAN DHCP configuration. 4. Connect the NBN HFC box directly to the UniFi gateway WAN, using the patch panel/cabling only if necessary. Do not connect NBN directly to the switch or put the supplied router in between/double NAT. 5. Confirm the internet connection and WAN IP, LAN, Wi-Fi/APs, representative wall ports and Hikvision CCTV (including existing access) remain operational. 6. Power-cycle the NBN box/gateway safely if needed. No factory resets. 7. Label the disconnected legacy WAN cable “old Nokia WAN” and document the final ports/settings and any disconnected equipment. Leave Nokia/Huawei equipment powered unless confirmed safe to disconnect. Please bring Ethernet patch leads and a cable tester. Bring a suitable SFP+/RJ45 adapter only if inspection indicates it may be needed; confirm any extra hardware cost before purchase/use. Please describe your UniFi, NBN and network-rack experience and availability. Expected duration is about 1.5–2 hours onsite; please get approval before extra work or cost.
