Need board-level repair on LG UltraFine 5K monitor (27MD5KL-B) I have an LG UltraFine 5K monitor, model 27MD5KL-B, with what appears to be an intermittent fault in the Thunderbolt host port. Symptoms: - monitor gets power - charges my Mac correctly - display connection is intermittent - if the Thunderbolt cable is moved slightly, the screen can come on briefly - host port appears physically damaged / has a visible gap compared with the other ports I have already tested with: - known-good Thunderbolt 4 cable - MacBook Air - Mac Studio - another working LG UltraFine monitor in the same setup So this does not appear to be a cable or computer issue. It seems likely to be: - damaged Thunderbolt host port - cracked solder joints - loose port / board-level connection Looking for someone experienced with: - microsoldering - USB-C / Thunderbolt port repair - board-level monitor or Mac logic board repairs I am not looking for basic troubleshooting only. Hi I have a PC that is not suitable for the new Microsoft system upgrade - I do have a lap top that is able to run the new operating system and have purchased a new monitor - so I need all my current documents, files, etc saved on my old PC (its not all in the cloud) transferred and the new monitor and operating system installed.
