Help! I have an encrypted external HDD on Apple File System (APFS) and I’m getting an error when plugging it in. The error says this “drive cannot be unlocked due to a problem”. I have tried everything online— disk repair, paid recovery software, plugging into a different Mac, also tried creating an image but it gets stuck. I have the encryption key and when i try to do it via command line prompt in terminal it says encryption key not valid or there is no user that can be found. I don’t really know what that means. I have the encryption key I just need to find a way to unlock as the encryption mechanism seems to be the problem If anyone is a professional data recovery guru that can do it in house with the proper tools etc i’m willing to pay 1k as long as i get the data back

I use rekordbox software for DJing. However i've had a stinker and moved 1600 tunes on my imac to an unknown location and cant find my music, despite going; 'file - display missing files - auto-relocate' in rekordbox.
