Basically, in a nutshell: I’m looking for someone to make custom, made-to-measure wooden planks to sit on top of my existing IKEA shelves, ideally finished with a dark wood varnish. Details: I have 4 x IKEA HYLLIS shelves and would like them connected together, levelled properly, and topped with timber planks so they form one continuous surface. IKEA doesn’t sell connectors for these shelves, so I’ll need someone who can problem-solve and come up with a secure way to join them. I know places like Bunnings likely sell suitable timber, but I’d need help choosing the right wood, cutting it to size, and aligning it neatly with the shelf dimensions. I’d also love the timber varnished in a dark brown finish (see inspiration photos). Materials: Happy to reimburse for all materials, or open to discussing whether you’d prefer to source them yourself. This would suit someone with carpentry / handyman experience, ideally comfortable with measuring, levelling, fitting

We would like a cabinet maker to make and install an above washing machine cupboard. See inspiration picture (3rd photo). Very rough measurements (cm) - 70W 200H 60D. Ideally has a design which enables the washing machine connections to be hidden within the cabinet and be able to store things around it; with space for a dyson charger to hang; space further up on shelves for towel storage/bathroom items.

Decking is roughly 6m x 4m. Requires a clean and restaining. Need to it completed before Thursday.

Hi, We have about 90% of our Ikea kitchen installed and the current carpenter cannot return for a few weeks. We are keen to : - Finish install of filler panels including area around butler's sink. - The stonemason has requested a 3 mm MDF template with the cut out for the sink and cooktop is made for the benchtop measuring. - Add an on the 18mm shadow line substrate to give the bench more support The doors and drawers are all installed. - Due date: Before Thursday, 8 February 2024

Wood work restoration: - Corner of handmade coffee table requires sanding and resurfacing. - Wooden step requires sanding, filling and resurfacing. Additionally, wooden step is not firmly fixed into metal stair frame and has approx 3mm of give when stepping from back to front of step plank. Looking for solution to securely lock the step to metal frame. - Due date: Flexible

Looking for a handyman for a pretty basic installation of a timberline shaving cabinet in the bathroom. It will be unscrewing the old lightweight cabinet, and putting up the new bigger cabinet, which may a couple of drills into the wall and ensuring the cabinet is securely fastened above the sink.
