Find experienced local carpenters in Brunswick West

Looking to install a 2 person swing bench on my front verandah. Wanting to see if it’s safe to do so. Have not bought swing yet, just want to see if it’s doable before I buy the swing.

Fill in door way between dining and lounge with a wall or add sliding doors or even just add a wardrobe. We are also open to only adding a wardrobe to block off the gap - this would need to be the exact same as one in image 240cm H x 58cm deep x 260cm long.

Need cabinet work done where an old gas unit once was. Need this area covered/protected but can also be removed for future maintenance.

I need one cabinet installed: for an existing space under a floating bench. I also need two doors fixed on an existing cabinet.

We recently had an Engineering forensic report on the floor of our old house in Brunswick West. The initial recommendation was some basic subfloor timber work. Report: The subfloor members identified in the attached photo is inadequately bearing on the stump. It needs to have a timber member at least the same specification as the existing, 1000mm minimum in length, nail laminated over the location of the stump, to the side of the existing timber members.

I have assembled an IKEA bathroom cabinet, and would love help drilling into my concrete wall to mount this cabinet with proper spacing and alignment.

Timber panel/cladding under window is cracked and breaking. There appears to be a gap under the window frame that may lead into the floor cavity Located on second story so ladder required. Need someone to inspect, repair/replace timber and seal the gap to weatherproof. Prefer carpenter or experienced handyman Please include materials if needed

Removalist put a few dents bringing items up the timber stairs. Would like to buff them out

Replace missing wooden panels on deck

2 or 3 stairs need repairing, see photos. Damage was uncovered on these creaking steps during installation of new carpet. (Access to underneath of steps may be possible via vents in laundry beneath).

Build 6 cabinets from 18mm birch plywood. I will provide the plywood sheets to build them. You might just need to tell me how many sheets to buy. The cabinets will need to be 800mm wide x 600mm high x 300mm deep each. I've attached inspo pics, but I want the doors to slide, as it's in a tight space. Please quote for construction of one cabinet only to keep fees low if possible.

Hi all, Looking for a local handyman to do some sanding and staining (one large dining table, 1 medium and 1 small bookshelf). Needs to be able to collect and drop off Brunswick West. Most likely needs light-medium sanding and 1-2 coats (I do have the timber stain already).

I have a few odd jobs! The tracks on some wooden drawers I found have never worked, the tracks don’t seem to align with each other. It is very difficult to pull and push the drawers in and out. If possible I would like to reinstall new tracks or it may not be worth it. Also the pole in my closet has collapsed a bit and is hanging on for dear life. It would be great to have this reinforced. Additionally I have a wooden dining chair that broke recently that I am hoping can be salvaged. There is a bit of splintering of the wood but the screws also fell out of one corner. Hope this makes sense!

I spilled acetate on our table. Unfortunately it has lifted the lacquer in some places. I believe it will need to be sanded back and re lacquered. I think only the top will need doing. Looking for someone who has experience with this in particular. Flexible on price, I am not sure what to expect.

I am renovating my kitchen and think it would be best to do custom cabinetry and keep it simple. Not sure of the costs exactly, have a few quotes for the kaboom flat pack equivalent and that’s about $4000 not including install. Happy to hear your thoughts/suggestions. This would be a full removal and replacement but keeping plumbing and electrics in the same spot. This is a small kitchen in a one bedroom apartment.

I need a carpenter to repair some fascia, low level not difficult.

We have a large (4m x 2m) tiled north facing balcony on our apartment, which we’d like to have someone put together and lay a floating deck of composite timber. Can be free standing/not attached to the walls or tile. Looking for someone with experience laying a deck/carpenter.

Our existing French doors to the balcony are rotting. We need a carpenter to replace the current doors with second hand doors we have purchased off marketplace. (We have measured and there should be enough material) Please note!! we have already given this a go and the doors are not hanging straight. Before we ruin the replacement doors we need help getting it right 😅 We have hinges and the replacement doors here, as well as two sawhorses, measuring tapes etc if needed. Will need your own electric saw.
