Find experienced local carpenters in Melbourne

I’m looking to get timber cut into 10 x 25cm long segments and also delivered to Kensington can anyone help with this? I haven’t purchased the timber yet but something like the image (90 x 35mm) would be great.

Need someone to install 3 new internal door handles. The existing handle holes are slightly too large. The round rose just covers the hole, but there’s not enough timber underneath for the mounting screws to secure properly. The doors will likely need small timber infills/repairs so the screws have something solid to bite into. The strike plate/latch recesses also need a small amount of chiselling for the new hardware to fit correctly. The new handles are on site and I’d ideally need done tonight or first thing tomorrow morning.

Carpenter required to: build 4 wooden display boxes of various sizes: 1. Glue the sides together and strap with paper tape 2. Then use wooden supports and metal L-brackets to drill into connecting corners to ensure stability See attached pictures (Last image, the far left 3 boxes as example). This needs to be completed before the end of the day Friday.

Looking for a cabinetmaker or experienced handyman to help finish off a dishwasher installation. I’ve recently installed a freestanding slimline dishwasher under an existing benchtop. Because the dishwasher protrudes slightly (around 10–12 cm) and sits at a different height to the small cabinet beside it, there is an unfinished-looking gap and exposed uneven top. I’d like someone to help make a neat, custom solution (e.g. infill panel, thicker cabinet top, trim or similar) so the dishwasher/cabinet have an even top. The existing benchtop cannot be modified or extended. Ideally I’d like it to look tidy both from the front and when standing above it, as the exposed top/gap is currently the main thing that looks unfinished. It doesn't have to be in stone or very sophisticated or even aligned the the benchtop, just something even on top of the dishwasher/small cabinet tops that are now sticking out. Photos attached. Needs to be completed by the end of July. Open to suggestions on the best way to achieve a clean, professional finish.

I have a solid timber buffet cabinet that is approximately 5–10 mm too wide to fit into an alcove in my apartment. The cabinet body fits—the issue is the decorative timber moulding around the base. I’ve already started removing part of the moulding (see photos), but the timber is much harder than expected and I’d rather have someone with the right tools finish it cleanly. I’m looking for someone experienced with woodworking/cabinetry who can: * carefully trim/remove the required section of decorative moulding * keep the visible cabinet looking neat * test-fit the cabinet into the alcove * stop once it slides in cleanly The cabinet does not need to be rebuilt or repaired—only the moulding needs trimming. Please bring your own tools (oscillating multi-tool, planer, router, chisels, etc.—whatever you think is most appropriate). I’d love this completed today or tomorrow if possible. Photos attached.

Carpentry works required to finish off house 1. Existing skirting to be installed - 25Lm to laundry, back door section and study. 2. Existing laundry door to be fitted with new screws. Hinges existing (May need adjusting as new flooring has been installed with floor prep 3. Rectify damaged weatherboards. Ideally and if it would look nice to cut and replace damaged sections to reduce cost (6Lm of actual damage) to LHS of property and (500mm of actual damage to) 1 section to RHS of property. If the entire length of weatherboard needs to be replaced then lengths amount to 33Lm. 4. Replace damaged plinth board to LHS of property - 9.5Lm All materials to be supplied by carpenter and happy to include in your cost.

Looking for an experienced handyman/carpenter to remove a built-in timber wall cabinet from the living room. Please note the cabinet is attached to a brick wall. I am expecting some patching and painting afterwards, but I would like removal to be as neat as possible. Please remove cabinet carefully to minimise damage to the brick wall and surrounding areas.

Remove only the bottom shelf of this bathroom cabinet. Appears to be stuck on rather than attached with screws etc Would like to keep it in tact to reattach later if possible. Need to ensure the other sides are not damaged. I assume it's a chisel and hammer type job.

Needing a good floorer to sand and stain floors in rooms as photographed. Hope you can start on Saturday. We want to bring the floors back to natural colour of timber and stain would be clear coat matt finish. Please note this includes the steps on the stairs as well
