Task Title: Repair Swollen Laundry Cabinet Panel Base (Cutout & White Trim Method)Task Description:We need an experienced handyman, carpenter, or cabinetmaker to repair water damage at the very bottom edge of our white laundry chute cabinetry where it meets the stone benchtop. The vertical side panel has absorbed surface water splashes from the sink, causing the bottom corner edge to swell and the melamine coating to split. The stone benchtop, sink, tiles, and the rest of the laundry chute housing are completely fine and undamaged. To save time and cost, we do not want the full panel replaced. We require a localized cutout-and-trim repair done in place.Scope of Work:Clean Cutout: Use a multi-tool or appropriate saw to neatly cut away the swollen bottom section (approx. 15–20mm) of the vertical white panel directly above the stone benchtop. Take care not to scratch the stone or disturb the wall tiles.Seal Raw Wood: Seal or treat the freshly cut raw timber edge to prevent future moisture absorption.Install Trim: Supply and neatly install a thin, matching white PVC plastic trim (flat strip or small quad profile) to mask the cut and cover the gap.Waterproof Silicone (Crucial): Apply a neat, professional bead of clear wet-area silicone along the bottom junction where the new PVC trim meets the stone benchtop to completely waterproof the base.Requirements:Must bring your own tools, drop sheets, and materials (white PVC trim, sealer, and premium clear wet-area silicone).Looking for someone with a background in precise joinery repairs or neat carpentry finishings. Please provide examples or photos of previous neat repair work in your offer.
