We are having ducted air con installed in our house in the coming weeks, with the installers removing our old redundant gas heater at the same time. Upon removal of the unit we will need the wall re-gyprocked to get rid of the giant cavity the removal of the gas heater will leave. The unit itself is 50cm wide by 200cm high but would need to factor in more gyprock being needed as I imagine the removal will leave a gap in the gyprock wider than the actual unit. Seeking quotes from people who are experienced in working with gyprock to a professional standard as to what this would cost for us to get it repaired. Examples of previous work from respondees to this ad will be greatly appreciated.
