Tempering valve is about 15 years old and is resulting in cold showers (and grumpy teenagers). I have a feeling that it is the tempering valve letting through too much cold water (especially at night). We have a solar water heater with an electric booster (maintaining temp around 65C). Can you please check out the TMV and replace if required - also it would be good to have isolation valves installed at the same time.
