The situation: We had flooding a while back (burst pipe while on holiday) and the carpet was ruined. I'm in the process of finding some off-cut carpet on Marketplace to replace the old carpet which we had to dispose of. Some details: - The floor is a concrete slab - The dimensions are roughly 3 x 4m - The carpet needs to be cut so as to fit the dimensions of the closet (all in once piece ideally) - I'd be keen to learn how to do lay the carpet and help out (but I'm a bit of a slouch when it comes to practical tasks), so a warm, teacherly manner would be great!! - I might need to find some underlay as well, and have been told that old wool rugs are an option. I'd love any insider advice on what I should get as underlay. Happy to pay around $40ph and it should only take 4 - 5 hours to finish up.

We have just installed carpet, 3 bedrooms doors need to be shaved by a few mm.

There is a section of carpet I want cut out and replaced. I don’t have the carpet.

The skirting boards in 3 bedrooms are rotting and need replacing. I can buy and paint the boards beforehand but I need some help in cutting the boards to the exact right lengths - including catering for power points - and installing them. I may need to plaster over holes in the wall too. I would want to chat before I buy and paint the new boards.

I need one piece of skirting board replaced. You will need to come measure and then get the skirting board and then install it. Doesn’t need to be painted. Approx 7m. I will pay for the skirting board piece so don’t need to include that in your quote. Just your labour.

Need someone to lay 80sqm recycled Tas Oak tongue and groove floorboards. Secret nail and glue to yellow tongue. Bonus if you can sand.

Re-grouting required on crazy paving in backyard and possibly sealing afterwards. Please note, not the entire paving needs re-grouting, just the big gaps. Then require a sealer on top.
