Looking for an experienced carpenter or joiner to build a strong, custom timber frame/shelf that sits on top of my laundry benchtop to elevate a new 9kg Bosch Heat Pump Dryer (~50kg). The goal is to raise the dryer above the bench to preserve my benchtop space below (for a laundry basket and sink access) without hanging the weight off the drywall. Key Requirements: Load Bearing: The frame must safely support 70kg+ (dryer weight + wet clothes). Vertical legs/uprights must align with solid cabinet support beneath the benchtop to transfer weight safely down to the floor. Dimensions: Top Shelf: Approx. 600mm (W) x 650mm (D) to fit the Bosch dryer footprint. Clearance Gap: Approx. 350mm–400mm height clearance beneath the shelf so a laundry basket fits easily on the benchtop. Materials: Structural timber (e.g., 45x90mm pine framing or thick structural ply/MDF) with neat finishing or paint-ready edges. Safety & Securing: Anchor the top rear of the frame into the timber wall studs behind the drywall using L-brackets/battens to prevent forward tipping and vibration movement. Supply or place a rubber anti-vibration mat on the shelf platform. Location / Setup: Drywall backing over existing cabinetry in a standard laundry layout. Cut and seal EKBACKEN worktop - Cut one 62cm length from the 186cm worktop - Seal the cut edge with provided edgebanding (bring contact adhesive) - Offcut (approx 124cm remaining) is yours to keep 3.
