Hi there, I am looking for a skilled carpenter or experienced handyperson to build and install timber handrails on both sides of my front porch stairs. I have attached photos for reference: • Photo 1: A design mockup of exactly what I want it to look like. • Photos 2 & 3: The current state of the stairs. Key details: • There are 3 steps in total. • The handrails need to include newel posts, balusters, and the top rail, built closely to the design in the mockup. • They need to be securely attached to the existing exposed stringers/stairs. • I would like the new timber to be stained to match the existing dark brown colour of the stairs as closely as possible. When making an offer, please clarify: 1. Does your quote include both labour and all materials (timber, hardware, stain)? 2. Can you share any photos of similar staircase or decking work you've done? Lift Rangehood: Currently, the rangehood is only 570mm above the gas cooktop. I need it raised to a minimum of 650mm clearance (to meet the Gas Safety Compliance report). This might involve removing the rangehood, cutting/modifying the floor of the overhead cupboard, potentially adjusting the cupboard doors to fit the new height, and reinstall the rangehood at the new height, but happy to be advised otherwise.
