Require a plumber to fit a hold and cold hose to washing machine. Check if there is leak in he tap. Tighten a tap. Advise if the toilet is working fine and there isn’t a blockage.

Machine fills with water, then Tap symbol illuminates red after a few mins. Once this happens, it seems like the washing machine water level indicator does not register how much water is needed in the machine & It fills too much water. When the rinse cycles starts, the machine adds more water and the water overflows from the detergent drawer. It spins and drains ok, just the wash cycle is playing up..i have checked all pipes for obstructions and cleaned out the lint filter by draining water out. Is this a simple fix or do i just get a new washing machine as i don’t want to spend much more than $100 to fix as it is over 20yrs old but still gets the job done.

The washing machine model is Samsung: ww75h5290ew/sa It is showing a SUDS, 5E, or SE error code and does not finish washing the clothes within a reasonable timeframe. I've attempted to replace the rubber leaking seal/gasket on my Washing Machine, a Bosch Series 4, but it doesn't look quite right. I'm not sure if I've managed to put it on backwards or something, or if it just fits different cause it's not a OEM part. But I'd rather not mix electricity and water! Before I turn it on I'd like someone who knows about Washing Machines to double check that it's on right, and if required, to re-install the seal. The washing machiene is easy to access (currently in hallway). There is parking directly in front of our house.
