Looking for someone to help with two small jobs: • Fit a replacement hot water boiler/unit — replacement is already here (the hot water boiler stopped working under warranty so they’ve just sent out a new one) it just needs swapping over and fitting correctly. • Fit/change the CO₂ SodaStream canister for the same tap. • Take a look at a leaking downpipe by the back door. I think it’s just the fittings/connections that need adjusting or replacing, but it’s too high for me to safely reach. Ideally looking for someone confident with basic plumbing/fittings who can sort all in one visit and has the tools etc. The tap company have told us it’s a simple switch and shouldn’t take more than half hour but we don’t trust ourselves and would prefer a professional. Happy to send photos beforehand if helpful.

Plumber needed – concealed shower temperature fluctuating Looking for a plumber to diagnose and repair an issue with our concealed thermostatic shower. The shower starts hot but keeps fluctuating between hot and lukewarm before becoming hot again. All other hot water taps in the house are working normally and maintaining their temperature, so the issue appears to be isolated to the shower. From initial advice, it may be a thermostatic cartridge that needs cleaning or replacing, but I’d like someone experienced with concealed mixer showers to diagnose it properly. I’ve attached a photo of the shower controls. Ideally looking for someone who can: * Diagnose the cause of the temperature fluctuation * Identify the shower/required cartridge if necessary * Repair or replace the cartridge * Advise beforehand if any additional parts are required Budget: Around £60–£80 initially for diagnosis/repair labour, with replacement parts paid separately if required. We have lived in a new house for the last 18 months and this last week, just after using our shower we are getting a foul smell in the whole house which may be as a result of a drainage problem

The water inlet comes from the wall at the top and feeds straight into the rain head arm, and the hose for the handheld comes off that same top section. That setup is often called a “top inlet dual shower” or “top feed twin shower.”
