What does a housekeeping service include?

Housekeeping services can include one-off services or regular domestic tasks (daily, weekly, or fortnightly), from cleaning and cooking to even home maintenance. Your housekeeper will bring along all the products and equipment they need to clean and maintain your home - all you need to do is tell them what you need done. Here’s how they can help:

Cleaning

The most common housekeeping service involves cleaning. This could include general cleaning, like vacuumingmoppingdusting, and bathroom cleaning. Or it might include detail cleaning tasks like couchcurtainfloorfridge, and . Depending on the number of tasks you’d like your housekeeper to complete, they may clean for just an hour, or up to the entire day. Your housekeeper will discuss a time that’s convenient for you, the tasks you need done, and the timeframe it should take to complete these tasks. If needed, they can bring their own cleaning supplies, like a vacuum cleaner and feather duster.

Organising and tidying

Many housekeepers offer professional organising services, where they help organise and tidy all areas of your home. This includes desks, filing cabinets, stationery, linen, wardrobes, toys, kitchen cupboards, garage interiors, and more. They’ll pull out all the items, organise them by category, and help you choose what you should keep, donate, or bin. They’ll also help by recommending suitable storage solutions to help you keep your home tidy for longer.

Cooking

Some housekeepers are available to help with cooking in your home. They might prepare a few snacks, or help prep several meals ahead of time so you don’t have to worry about cooking. Your housekeeper will present menu and recipe options for you to choose from and use your ingredient and kitchen supplies to cook everything in your kitchen. Once they’re done, they’ll store the freshly cooked food (with heating instructions) and clean up any mess.

Laundry

Washing and ironing starting to pile up? Housekeepers can help by putting on loads of washing, hanging clothes, loading the dryer, folding washing, ironing, and even putting it away. They’ll check the care labels to ensure appropriate washing/drying methods are used before they start the process. With some extra help, you’ll be all caught up on the laundry in no time.

Home maintenance

Many housekeepers are skilled in basic household maintenance tasks. But if they’re unable to do the job themselves, they’ll help organise and oversee skilled contractors who can help do repairs and maintenance in and around your home.

From Office Cleaning, Airbnb Cleaning, and Apartment Cleaning; you can get all types of Housekeepers done usually between £41-£53, with the median price of Housekeepers in Fitzrovia being £47.

Help unpacking, organising & decluttering

£46

Fitzrovia, Greater London

26th May 2022

I just moved into a small flat in Fitzrovia am looking for someone to help me unpack things in a very organised way. I like setting and labelling specific places in the joke for certain item categories into cupboards, drawers and wardrobes. Someone familiar with the Marie Kondo Konmarie method would be a bonus, as well as being able to help me decide which things I can get rid of that I no longer love or need. I have too many things in general and want to be more organised as I settle in this new home and have fewer possessions. I am located very close to Oxford Circus and Tottenham Court Road tube stations, so it’s very easy to get to. Thank you!

So helpful and kind! Lucy helped me unpack my kitchen items after a big move and was very pleasant to work with. Thank you!

Cleaning & organising my apartment

£30

Soho, Greater London, W1F

29th Apr 2019

Hi, I am looking for someone very serious and extremely organised who pays attention to details. I need someone who can first help me tidying up my flat and organising it ( it is a small flat, about 30 to 40 metres square ). And then cleaning the main part of the flat like the shower and the floor. I do not need anything very tricky or complicated, no deep cleaning needed. If possible, I would like a lady for this task as the main part of it is tidying up my clothes and I feel that it is quite personal. This task should not normally take more than 1 hour and a half. Thank you !

Not only is Beverley an amazing soul to have around to help but she also does a great job ! I am very picky with who I let touch my personal belongings, but from the minute she started the task I knew I would be very happy with the result. There was a lot to do and to be honest I was not expecting everything to be done perfectly, but Berverley proved me wrong. This review can seem a bit too much to be real, but I had to tell how impress and happy I was with Beverley. Next time I need to get something done, I will not even post a task or search for someone. I will contact Beverley without thinking twice about it. I would 10000% recommend her.

Having recently moved to London and started a new job, I'm looking for a bit of love and indulgence. Alongside the fact that (shock) I'm sad, single and lonely this valentines day, I saw this campaign from a friend I haven't spoken to for a while and gives me a reason to say thank you AND have a valentine in 2019 <3
