I feel like right now it's your basic white clean home with no personality and I don't like that. I need help with the hallway plus kitchen (they're together) and my bedroom. Three-storey, three-bedroom townhouse in Lewisham SE13. Seeking to convert my garage (roughly 18m2) into a living room. Plan is to start with upgrading my pitched roof and replacing the garage wall. The task therefore comprises: (a) Replacing the existing roof rafters with 7x2 inch ones and breathable membrane, and installing a Velux window (114x140cm), as well as adding a few vent tiles and dealing with the lead flashing (potentially keeping the existing one); (b) Replacing the existing garage door with a cavity wall (roughly 90x240cm from the ground + 106x10cm on each side of the new window frame). No insulation or plasterboarding is required at this stage. My Velux window is currently scheduled to arrive next Friday 8 August, and I would like to start with the roof first. I would like the task to be completed ideally by the end of August. I'd be happy to provide building materials and tools if required. I am also flexible on working practices (e.g. breaks). My father will be present and able to assist with anything in case a second pair of hands is needed at any point. Please also confirm whether you have Public Liability Insurance (£1 million minimum) and whether you have experience in doing this kind of work (including any bricklaying experience).

I have a robot vacuum cleaner with a gear that keeps breaking — unfortunately, the manufacturer only sells the entire motor + gearbox as one unit, which is costly. This is the second time this gear has failed, and I'd like to avoid buying the whole assembly again just for one broken piece. Instead, I’d like to replicate the gear in CAD so I can 3D print replacements as needed. I'm a complete beginner when it comes to CAD, so I'm looking for someone to help me with modeling this part accurately. I can provide clear photos of the broken gear and anything else you need — I’ll just need your guidance on how to take accurate measurements or any other info you need to get the job done.
