This is not a real brick chimney and is not structural — it appears to be timber stud, plasterboard and skim. Scope of works: • Remove false chimney breast structure • Remove decorative fireplace and surround • Remove adjacent built-in cupboard and shelving • Make good wall, ceiling and floor behind (ready for painting) • Replace skirting where required • Remove all waste/rubble from site The fireplace is not in use and is not connected to gas. It is a recirculating ductless model, and needs to be fitted for internal recirculation and be at least 65cm from the cooker.
