Smoke alarm base has come loose from plasterboard ceiling. Wiring is already in place and connected — no electrical work required. Need someone to supply/install appropriate plasterboard fixings and securely reattach the base plate. Then twist the smoke alarm unit back into place and test it’s secure.

hi there! we’re looking for a handyman/decorator to help with a few cosmetic repairs and touch-ups around the house following recent work. jobs include: • filling and sanding old screw holes and minor plaster repair • light repainting of repaired areas so everything blends in neatly • small section of unfinished floor now visible after wardrobe removal - sand back and varnish can be flexible but would be great if you had availability this friday 30 or saturday 31st. we have the paint but no other materials. i’ve included some pics. feel free to ask any questions! cheers! lizzie

I need old wallpaper removing from my hallway. I think there could be some damaging to the plastering so this would need repairing/ re plastering. I want it ready to paint

There are 2 double bedrooms in a flat that need plastering.

1. bleed radiators on top floor 2. get two bedroom doors to shut properly 3. fill and make good a small area of damaged plaster (internal) 4. fix curtain rail in reception room (if it cannot be fixed, I can supply new and it will need fitting) 5. fix and secure fence panel in the garden (that came loose and fell)

I need old plasterboards removed from 2 ceilings, and new plasterboards attached. Please look at the photos for the size and shape of the room. The rooms are currently stripped back to brick (see second photo) , old plaster needs to be disposed of. Measure, cut and fix 8 metres of traditionally cast hessian backed plaster coving to the hallway ceiling. It measures 75mm/3 inches across the diagonal. Materials and step ladder provided. Worker must have own tools. Free parking available. Short walk from Highgate Tube. 1/ Measure and mark the wall and ceiling with a template to ensure a level fit. 2/ Prepare the wall and ceiling for fixing. 3/ Apply bonding. 4/ Cut the coving to fit and to avoid joins. 5/ Cut the corners using a mitre. 6/ Mix the specialist glue (Prestia CA 120) which has a working time of one hour. 7/ Apply the glue to the coving by dabbing. 8/ Use the grab of the glue to fix the coving and avoid the use of screws for fixing. 9/ Make good the internal corners of the coving. 10/ Finish the joins between the coving and ceiling and the wall. 11/ Clean away any excess glue. 12/ Clear away and tidy up. NOTE: This job requires previous experience because of the one hour working time of the glue.

Looking for someone who can plaster and fill the crack on the ceiling, and paint the walls (paint 2 rooms and the hallway). Flooring as well if possible, but no worries if not as plastering and painting would be the main priority
