Looking for an experienced carpenter / builder / handyman to transform an old fireplace area into a modern boxed-off storage/media feature similar to the inspiration photo attached. With plug sockets inside the storage area and on the wall for the TV. Current fireplace surround and insert can be removed if needed. The goal is to create a clean plastered boxed feature with: Recessed lower storage shelf/niche Floating timber-style mantel beam Smooth plastered finish ready for paint Space suitable for décor/storage and potentially TV setup above 2 Electric sockets in the niche and also on the wall. Optional integrated LED strip lighting inside niche (if possible) The existing fireplace opening has already been exposed behind the current surround. Hi - we'd like this limestone fireplace surround put together and fixed to the wall. The photos show the brickwork it needs to be fastened to, the disassembled pieces and what it looks like when out back together. There are a couple of bolt holes at the top of the legs (two pieces furthest left and right). We have suitable glue and can supply other required parts to fasten to the wall. Ready to do this asap

I need 3 things, which can be done in probably half a day 1. Connect the extractor fan to the vent 2. Plasterboard underneath the boiler to finish off the plaster boarding in that area, probably half a meter-a meter wide 3. Shorten our wooden fireplace, screw it together and secure to the wall

We’re renovating a bedroom. The bedroom has a fireplace in it. We want to take the fireplace hearth surround etc out and board up to use the wall as usable space. We also want to get a dado rail and panelling up.

I please need some help to plaster my indoor wood burning fireplace with fireproof cement that leaves a smooth finish to enable me to paint it with black fireproof paint. at the moment it is fireproof board and unfinished. The area requiring plastering would be 1 metre high x 2,7 metres length - it is a stand alone column with 3 sides (one side adjoins to the wall of the house). The fireplace is double sided. please see a photo attached of this. I had tried plastering it myself but it has just ended up cracking and not being a job I can do.

We removed our cast iron fireplace to have all the paint stripped off it. It now needs bolting back on to the wall and the edging around it will need to be tidied up with filler and paint

Gas fire place not working or igniting. Gas valve is present. Would like someone to investigate and give a quote to see how much it would cost to fix it.

Remove existing cracked tiles from hearth (most are loose) and retile. We will provide the new tiles. If possible replace the cracked tiles on the fire surround with undamaged ones from the hearth, but if not possible just retitling the hearth

Hello, I’d like a plasterer to plaster the exposed brickwork as well as the walls inside the recess of this fireplace

Brickwork in old fireplace requires cleaning. Please see photos. The fireplace will not be reused and will be for decorative purposes only. Dimensions approximately 110x120cm and about 45cm depth.
