Mid renovation deep cleaning help

£60

I have been looking for someone for as long as I can remember to not just help me ‘clean’ my space (because I can hire just any old cleaner to do that) but for someone to help me MANAGE and ORGANIZE my space thoughtfully. Latifa helped me methodically go through my things, get rid of unnecessary items and then categorize the useful things in their appropriate places…everything I have needed to do for the last 28 years of my life! I am also someone who struggles with ADHD and also work in a high pressure environment, so I knew that without her help my problem would only get worse. I recommend anyone who struggles with disorganization and clutter who wants to fix it but doesn’t know how. She is so good at what she does and also has a really big heart which made me feel really safe working with her.

What does a housekeeping service include?

Housekeeping services can include one-off services or regular domestic tasks (daily, weekly, or fortnightly), from cleaning and cooking to even home maintenance. Your housekeeper will bring along all the products and equipment they need to clean and maintain your home - all you need to do is tell them what you need done. Here’s how they can help:

Cleaning

The most common housekeeping service involves cleaning. This could include general cleaning, like vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and bathroom cleaning. Or it might include detail cleaning tasks like couch, curtain, floor, fridge, and . Depending on the number of tasks you’d like your housekeeper to complete, they may clean for just an hour, or up to the entire day. Your housekeeper will discuss a time that’s convenient for you, the tasks you need done, and the timeframe it should take to complete these tasks. If needed, they can bring their own cleaning supplies, like a vacuum cleaner and feather duster.

Organising and tidying

Many housekeepers offer professional organising services, where they help organise and tidy all areas of your home. This includes desks, filing cabinets, stationery, linen, wardrobes, toys, kitchen cupboards, garage interiors, and more. They’ll pull out all the items, organise them by category, and help you choose what you should keep, donate, or bin. They’ll also help by recommending suitable storage solutions to help you keep your home tidy for longer.

Cooking

Some housekeepers are available to help with cooking in your home. They might prepare a few snacks, or help prep several meals ahead of time so you don’t have to worry about cooking. Your housekeeper will present menu and recipe options for you to choose from and use your ingredient and kitchen supplies to cook everything in your kitchen. Once they’re done, they’ll store the freshly cooked food (with heating instructions) and clean up any mess.

Laundry

Washing and ironing starting to pile up? Housekeepers can help by putting on loads of washing, hanging clothes, loading the dryer, folding washing, ironing, and even putting it away. They’ll check the care labels to ensure appropriate washing/drying methods are used before they start the process. With some extra help, you’ll be all caught up on the laundry in no time.

Home maintenance

Many housekeepers are skilled in basic household maintenance tasks. But if they’re unable to do the job themselves, they’ll help organise and oversee skilled contractors who can help do repairs and maintenance in and around your home.

Regular Weekend Cleaner (1.5 hours x 2 days)

£40

Islington, Greater London, N1

16th Jul 2023

I am looking for some regular help on weekends as follows: 1hr 30 mins on Sat Evening and 1hr 30mins on Sun Evening, from 6:30-8:00pm. I have two young children and will be busy getting them through bathtime and bedtime and would like to have some help tidying our living room, dining room and kitchen while I get them to bed. This will involve: cleaning the kitchen (we have a dishwasher), tidying away toys in the living room, wiping the floor in the dining room and cleaning the dining table, putting on one load of washing at the beginning of the clean and hanging it out to dry at the end. We live in an apartment in Islington so none of these spaces are very big. I am not at this stage able to offer more hours so this is ideally suited to someone who has a short commute given it’s only a 1.5 hour job each evening. The price/rate is for 3 hours (i.e. Sat and Sun). General PA/Housekeeper/Female Jeeves

£34

Barnsbury, Greater London, N1

7th Mar 2023

Hi, I’m currently packing up my house in order to sell it and would really like/need some help with it. The place is also in need of a clean pretty badly, this could either be done all at once or more of a bit-by-bit fashion by a potential housekeeper. There are too many random jobs that need doing to even list them. Nothing is hard particularly, and for the occasional thing that is such as heavy lifting we would get it all ready to go and then hire probably hire a couple of strong men to come and help. Currently I’m in Islington N1 1JE and not entirely sure where I’m moving to but quite likely onto a large motorboat in Brighton, with a wide beam canal boat somewhere locally that I would then put on Airbnb most of the time, but you would either need to facilitate the check in check out bit, or find someone else to and then stay on top of them for me. I have a small adorable dog, Jimi, that you might need to take for occasional walks and it is essential that you get along with. Men in the house tend to stress him out however, so the ideal candidate is essentially a female Jeeves. PA stuff could include anything from helping me to manage my business stuff & rental properties, overseeing workmen, to packing n unpacking my bags when travelling, potentially travelling with me on certain trips if worth it, running errands, helping to make sure I look good (buying clothes for example), booking appointments, doing early stage Tinder leg work / filtering out the wrong uns, Cooking for me and making sure I eat well (I currently spend *The Most Amazing Amount* on Deliveroo. Buying and selling stuff on eBay etc. And many many other things, so it could certainly be considered as very varied and there is probably enough work for a few of you which means you could likely get involved with the bits you enjoy and outsource the rest. Only super important thing is to make my life easier as stress is starting to have a very detrimental effect on both my mental and psychical health. You don’t need a car particularly, but a licence would definitely be a plus. I’ll repost this job lots of times over lots of days in order to gain maximum viewings but realistically the sooner you can come in the better and what I will probably do is to hire a few of you to do certain jobs and in doing so make it a bit of an interview for the permanent role but without wasting either of our time in doing so. Let me know if you have relevant or useful skills. I’d prefer to keep the hourly rate low to start with but could then offer bonuses for completed jobs once you start ‘paying for yourself’, or alternatively pay rises over time. Likely we take things off site at some point but I’m easy on that to be honest. I need to go abroad in the coming days, for a couple of weeks, and would need you to be working in my absence with fairly regular communication. so if you want the work and there is loads of it, then you would need to come here very quickly so I can show you what needs doing and give you a key. After that you could work the hours that you want, and do a lot of it remotely too. Driving licence and willingness to drive a van short distances would be a massive plus point, please let me know.. However the main thing that I need is one reliable trustworthy person to liaise with, who can then organise things and people on my behalf, so for this you would just need a good attitude and some free time.
