1 Fitted cupboards have 3 sliding doors. One blocks the pull out desk from doing just that. Simple solution: trim and finish the desk so we don’t snag ourselves. 2. Remove middle shelf from under kitchen sink. It lifts up but there are pipes so MDF board needs to be cut for removal. 3. Prep existing lower kitchen cabinet so that I can install a dishwasher. None of it is complicated. I just don’t have the skills or the tools.

We require an experienced joiner/carpenter to attend a commercial site in Crewe, CW2 5AA to assess, manufacture and install a bespoke sliding door/barrier for a stores area. There is currently a counter with a lift-up access section. We need a bespoke sliding door/barrier that can: Slide across and secure the opening when the stores are unattended, preventing unauthorised access over/through the counter. Slide back out of the way when the stores are open to allow normal access. Be robust and suitable for use within a commercial/industrial environment. This is a bespoke installation, so an initial site visit will be required to inspect the area, take measurements and determine the most appropriate design. We are looking for someone who can ideally handle the complete job from assessment and measurements through to manufacture and installation.

I have five hardwood window shutters that I ordered online, which I initially intended to install myself. However, upon delivery, I discovered that they are slightly larger than my windows and require some adjustments before installation. We’re looking for an experienced carpenter/joiner to help with 3 fitted storage projects in our Victorian flat: 1. Bedroom cupboard – PAX internals + new doors We have an existing built-in cupboard and would like to improve the storage using IKEA PAX carcasses/internals if suitable. The current sliding/overlapping doors are heavy and restrict access, so we’d like to replace these with more practical doors and would welcome advice on the best arrangement. 2. Bespoke boiler cupboard An alcove beside the chimney breast contains the boiler/pipework. We’d like to replace the existing cupboard/open shelving with a neat fitted cupboard with traditional painted Shaker-style doors. This will likely need to be bespoke and must retain suitable boiler access/clearances for servicing. We’d like it to stop below the existing Victorian cornicing rather than extend to the ceiling. 3. Hallway – fitted IKEA PAX We’d like PAX carcasses/internals with standard IKEA doors (or bespoke if advisable), neatly fitted so they feel integrated rather than freestanding. We haven’t ordered the PAX systems yet. We can provide approximate measurements and inspiration images. Ideally looking for someone experienced in fitted wardrobes/bespoke joinery and PAX adaptations. I’m looking for an experienced carpenter/joiner to replace the existing double doors to a built-in storage cupboard in our London courtyard. The existing doors are old, basic timber/board construction with black strap hinges and hardware. They’re functional but tired and I’d like to replace them with something much smarter and more attractive, while keeping the character of the courtyard. I’m open to design ideas from someone with good joinery experience — I’d particularly like advice on the best style and materials for an external/semi-external courtyard environment. What I’m looking for * Remove and dispose of the existing doors * Measure the opening accurately * Design and build two new cupboard doors * Supply suitable exterior/semi-exterior timber/materials * Fit new hinges, catches/handles and other hardware * Ideally retain a traditional/laternal courtyard / period-style look, but with a clean, high-quality finish * Prepare and paint/stain the doors, or leave ready for painting if agreed * Ensure the doors are properly aligned and open/close easily * Make good any minor areas around the frame as required Design ideas I’m not fixed on simply reproducing the existing doors. I am currently building a recording studio and we are in the final stages of construction, doing most of the internal joinery, ventilation work and painting. Specifically, this job involves finishing the ventilation system in the studio and erecting custom built fitted furniture (basic carpentry skills required). Job location Is N19 4NF. It will be for 23/09 but could go on longer. Timings are flexible - just come in when you can for 8 hours. We will work through a daily to do list with each person doing their own set of tasks.
