The job: - Scrape back all loose and peeling paint - Treat and kill the mould before painting - Patch/fill any areas that need it - Prime with a mould-resistant primer - Two coats of bathroom ceiling paint (moisture/mould resistant) Very small bathroom, currently white, happy to keep it white. This has only gotten bad / had mould in the last month or so, so we suspect our ventilation fan is broken and will be replacing this. Straight up summary - I touched up my wall and didnt like the finish - so I tried the brush and it left this streaky residue - it’s a natural white standard dulux colour - the 1st attempt left those shadowed areas. I then lightly sanded it and with a slightly-damp soapy cloth wiped over it - waited for it to dry and im back in the same predicament . Some areas take to the paint and then the shadows and faint white look still appear. It looks the same when I apply to when it dries - it doesn’t all blend in. I have about 400ml of the white paint in one tin and 100ml in another : it’s approx 1.54m x 1.2 area spot on a thin plaster wall. I presume a painter has seen this a million times and can solve it 1st time?
