Hi there, I’m looking for a reliable handyman or carpenter to complete some pergola repairs and install new shadecloth. I’m hoping to find someone who pays attention to detail and can complete the job once started. Photos are attached for reference. What’s needed: - In one section (this part of the pergola is otherwise complete and solid): • Saw the already installed beam ends down flat. They are slightly uneven now. • Paint the sawn off end of beams. - In another section: • Replace 2.5 metre wood that attaches to the fascia (water-damaged) and paint it. There is a temporary fix at the moment but the wood underneath is water damaged from leaky gutter ( fixed ) • Fit new or use existing brackets as needed • Reattach beams (two) with brackets. Another 3 beams would need to be unscrewed and then placed back on to replace. • Check the remaining fascia wood along that side of the house and advise if any is in need of replacement. • Install shadecloth neatly and tension correctly once repairs are done. I’ll purchase the wood, shadecloth, paint, and any other materials you require — just let me know what’s needed when you start.
