I took out the static build in desk in this alcove and was left with what is now seen in 70% of the photos, along with some other ceiling patch works etc. I am looking for an experienced trade professional or tradesman to repair/replace damaged drywall inside a small alcove nook, patch a few ceiling blemishes, and carry out the final painting works. Scope of Work: 1. Plastering & Prep (Walls, Ceiling & Floor Base): please ensure the wall has been replaced with new plasterboard where needed, plaster, paint & finish. The corner of the floor also needs finishing and work done to make it look finished. Happy to take suggestions on how this could be approached. Ceiling Patches: Patch, flush, and sand a few small ceiling blemishes (a couple of old anchor/screw holes, screw marks around a downlight trim, and one short hairline crack). 2. Painting Finish: Prime/undercoat all newly plastered wall and ceiling repair zones. Apply two coats of near matching paint to the entire alcove area and the affected ceiling sections so the patch repairs blend in perfectly with no visible patches or flashing. Requirements: Must bring all your own trade tools, Gyprock sheets, tape, compounds, drop sheets, rollers, and brushes etc Must deliver a premium, smooth, tradesman-like finish ready for handover. Clean and tidy work practice—please protect the tiled floors and clean up all plaster dust and paint splatters before leaving. Updated - Removal of replaced materials and rubbish also. Repair and replace cornice / plaster ceiling edges Description: Looking for an experienced plasterer to repair and replace the cornice shown in the photos. The damaged/old sections have already been removed. I attempted the repair myself but would prefer someone experienced to finish the job properly. Work required: * Supply and install matching cornice to the missing sections * Cut and match the existing internal corners * Patch/fill the surrounding ceiling and wall where required * Sand and leave ready for painting The existing cornice is approximately 90mm. Looking for a reliable handyman to knock over a few small maintenance jobs at a rental property in one visit. Photos attached. Outdoor stair handrail – loose post. The timber newel post at the bottom of the external stairs is loose. Needs to be re-secured/braced so the rail is solid and safe (coach bolts or a bracket to the stringer/post base, whatever's appropriate). Reinstall door holder. The floor-mounted plunger catch (for the plantation shutter door) has pulled out of the timber threshold and is hanging. Needs to be re-fixed properly – plug/fill the stripped holes and re-screw, or fit new fixings. Replace bathroom exhaust fan. Existing ceiling exhaust fan (approx. standard size grille) is old and needs replacing with a new like-for-like unit. If you're not a licensed electrician please let me know – we may need to arrange the electrical connection separately, or you can quote for a licensed sparky. Replace 2 x basin mixer taps. Two matte black Phoenix basin mixers have peeled/corroded and need replacing with new ones. Supply and install (happy for you to quote with materials, or I can supply the mixers – please advise). Licensed plumber preferred for tapwork. Replace skirting board. A section of skirting board in the laundry/storage area is water-damaged and swollen. Remove the damaged section, fit new skirting, fill, caulk and paint to match (white).
