I am looking for a handyman to help with a few jobs around the house: Curtain Rods Installation (3 in total): 2 x IKEA BEKRÄFTA curtain rod sets (I might have misplaced one screw from one of the boxes, so you might need to bring a spare or use a standard screw). 1 x IKEA HUGAD curtain rod combination (with wall/ceiling brackets and finials). Door Lock Installation: Install a simple flip latch lock on one of the bedroom doors. Shower Filter Installation: Install a water filter onto our shower head/arm. Please let me know your availability and your quote for these tasks. The IKEA curtain rod packages do not include wall mounting screws or plugs, so you will need to supply the appropriate screws and anchors for the installation :)

Hi, I’m looking for a reliable handyman to install 8 single extendable curtain rods at my home in Tullimbar. The curtain rod sets were recently purchased from Bunnings. The walls are standard gyprock/plasterboard, and the maximum ceiling height is around 2.9 metres. What I’m after: * Install 8 curtain rods above standard windows * Position the rods around 10–15 cm above the top of the window architrave * Extend the rod/brackets around 20–30 cm past each side of the window * Make sure everything is straight, level and securely fixed * Maximum ceiling height is approximately 2.9 m I already have the Bunnings curtain rod sets and the screws that came with them. As the walls are gyprock, I’m not sure whether the supplied screws will be suitable. Please bring suitable heavy-duty plasterboard anchors (such as toggle bolts or hollow-wall anchors) in case the brackets don’t line up with timber studs. I’m happy to reimburse the cost of any extra hardware used. Please bring your usual tools, including a drill, level, stud finder and any other tools normally required for this type of installation. Attach a metal curtain rod to brick wall in my lounge room. Drill needed.

I have tried using my own basic drill and it takes forever. Proper hammer-Rotary drill required. Four curtain rods four holes each - 16 total holes need to be drilled in solid concrete walls. I have marked location of screw holes already. The walls are rock solid!!

I’ve tried to install a wall mounted curtain rod but I’m short and having issues reaching it. Brackets need to be reinstalled as they are loose. Brackets are awkward to handle and need an extension drill bit. Also needing curtain rod attached to the brackets.
