Hi there we need help with our fence and to restore our faith in the AirtAsker community after sooo many disappointments with this task. We have been doing some backyard renovations and have had a disaster with the back fence (east side) which after 6 months already needs major repairs or totally replacing. It requires an inspection to assess best course of action. Some of it needs to be kept because we’ve built around it and we will talk to neighbours about replacing boundary to the south. Three issues: 1. Main fence palings probably need to be moved / replaced to eliminate gaps and there may be an issue with posts (to be assessed) 2. Capping needs to be replaced as it’s been fixed badly by a previous tasker. 3. Neighbours fence needs new privacy screen as they’ve just removed plants. 4. Whole thing needs repainting when finished. Tasker needs to demonstrate experience in this area not “I’ll have a go for you” like we did previously (entirely our fault and a big learning experience). Initial task is to assess and make recommendation regarding how we solve this problem. I have estimated 4 hours to make sure it isn’t rushed and that this is given a decent priority in the tasker’s work schedule. For that is expect 1. A (non rushed) site visit and thorough assessment of the condition and issues 2. Options and a recommendation regarding most practical cost-effective solution to the fences and capping with approximate pricing to do the work 3. Our pool fence gate no longer self closes and needs to be fixed. It is one of the aluminium slat style fences. I'd say the metal spring inside the hinge has broken.

Hi there we just had a new fence erected but the person got sick and rushed it and had left some poor workmanship and unfinished elements like loose boards and a few posts need to be levelled off. This task is to inspect and allows for 4 hours to sort it out. If it takes more we will add fees to the task accordingly. In the interest of fairness, we will not expect the tasker to offer a warranty on the fence given it has been largely completed by someone else. Need to paint it so would appreciate someone reasonably soon. I don’t think there needs to be any or many materials but if so we will pay for those on top of the task price. Thanks
