The internal ceiling light in the cargo space our 2016 Volkswagen Caddy Maxi is not working. I don’t think anything is broken - but I could be wrong! When we were recently replacing the ceiling lining, the light popped out and a couple of pieces of the mechanism fell out. I opened up the light fixture up to check the lightbulb was okay, and even watched some YouTube videos to check it was assembled correctly, but it still won’t turn on when we try to reattach it. Any help would be appreciated!

Having just seen a neighbour's recent nbn installation (pictured with fire extinguisher as an example of what we want to avoid!), I fear for what they intend to do on 19 December when connecting our new utility box to the wall outlet/connection box inside upstairs (also pictured as an example, with the wall outlet in a red box). Rather than wait and see I'd like to set up a drawstring ahead of time so they have absolutely no excuse but to use it. This will likely involve drilling the double brick wall near the utility box (there's already a penetration behind the smaller wall box but it has our current phone line and internet service running through it) and above the skirting board, then attempting to pull a drawstring between the two with a weighted line or cable feeder. I expect you should quote for this approach and then we'll revisit if it doesn't work. Failing that we may have to cut a channel up the inside or outside of the double wall, remove a ~1m length of skirting board upstairs, drill/chisel through, and ideally install a P20 duct with 100mm bend/s (which we can supply from Middy's). Outdoor plug (purchased) requires installation - front of house, rendered so assume surface is brick. To my knowledge, no existing wiring in that wall. Google smart smoke alarm (purchased) needs to be installed - existing wiring, just needs to be installed. Licensed electrician required - price negotiable.
