Hey team, looking for a sparky or confident handyman to help us swap over the main outdoor signage at our venue in Collingwood. ​We are replacing the existing square "Bodriggy" sign with our new round "Local Brewing Co." light box. ​The Details: ​Removal: Take down the existing square light box (see photos). ​Installation: Mount the new round light box in the same spot. ​Electrical: The power feed is already there from the old sign. You'll need to disconnect the old one and wire up the new one (standard 240v connection). ​Mounting: There is an existing metal arm/plate on the wall (see pics). You may need to drill new holes or adapt the new bracket (shown in the last photo) to fit the existing arm. Or it could go into the existing plate. ​Important: ​Height: The sign is on the second story facade. You will definitely need a very tall extension ladder or a scaffold. The budget I've listed is for site inspection/quotes only. Once inspection is done, then sparky will quote me. Looking to install 4-5 DC ceiling fans in our second floor apartment (of a three storey building, so no roof access). Build is about 2010. Fans will need to be fixed to joist or noggin, needing a support bracket/similar. The ceiling is not a concrete slab; it's plaster. There are downlights in every room, so lights and fan via remote control is fine. There are also fire sprinklers in every room, so contractor will need to comply with those regulations. Ideally, a sparkly who has this experience is ideal for this job. If you do not have experience retrofitting ceiling fans, this is not the job for you. Thanks a million!

Install pendant light in front room, into existing fitting

The bathroom fan isn’t turning off once it’s switched on. It seems there’s something unusual happening with the wall switch. Right now, I’ve unplugged the internal fan inside the vent to stop it from running. The issue is inconsistent — when I plug it back in, the switch will work normally for a short time (turning the fan on and off), but then it randomly stops responding, and the fan stays on continuously. The only way to stop it again is to unplug it. I’ll need someone with electrical experience, who can identify what's wrong in the circuit causing this.
