Satnam unfortunately wasn't able to recover my photos (through no fault of his own). I dropped my laptop to his house on Friday night and he called me first thing Saturday morning to explain that he couldn't locate the photos and give me a run down of the issue. I was a little nervous about dropping my laptop off at someones house so a little more communication around getting it back would have put my mind at ease. I would still recommend Satnam and appreciate him trying to recover my photos.

I need data from an external hard drive (Western Digital SE Elements 1TB) recovered urgently. It contains important music projects and business documents that are needed tomorrow. I already own a new SSD (Samsung t7 1TB) for documents to be transferred to. I'm available to have this service done at the soonest time possible. After running some tests myself I believe it is a mechanical failure. The drive had 0 issues until it was dropped from knee height onto carpet. When plugged into a computer it is recognised but does not show up on windows explorer. In disk manager it shows a drive that needs to be initialised. Using a WD drive program I was able to find out that the drive fails a SMART analysis and shows 0mb of storage. Flashing Folder error, but was not able to boot into recovery mode after performing Command+R and other ways that was suggested online. Took it to Apple Genius Bar, who were able to perform the Diagnosis which showed that the Storage was showing error, which meant they were not able to help me further. They offered to take the SSD out for me, and advised to get a compatible caddy to try retrieving the data if it is even possible, but I need to find someone who could help do that for me. To retrieve some data stored on this drive. Mainly a few Lightroom Catalogs, and other small files. - Due date: Flexible
Vidhin is truly an IT expert, he was able to do stuff that most others wouldn't even try because of the complexity and the work required, let alone the equipment needed to perform such task. He has it all and a true professional at it. He managed to recover most if not all my data, and went above and beyond by helping to recover other files from other drives which was not even part of the initial ask. Despite the far drive he came to pick up and drop off, including extra round trips in between, even in the cold, in rain as well. He is the one IT buddy that you can depend on and I highly recommend him for not just data recovery, but for whatever other IT problems and advise that you may come across.
