Install Ubuntu 24.04 and Tailscale (VPN) on a new miniserver
$100
Donvale VIC 3111, Australia
22nd Mar 2026
Looking for someone experienced with Linux to install Ubuntu (24.04 LTS) on a mini PC and then Tailscale VPN. Options for getting the work done: - Come to Donvale 3111 and do the install on-site, OR - Pick up the device, do the work at your place, and deliver it back to Donvale Scope — base OS setup plus Tailscale. - Clean Ubuntu LTS install (24.04) - All hardware drivers working (WiFi, Ethernet, Bluetooth, display, audio, USBA, USBC) - SSH enabled for remote access - System fully updated - Install Tailscale and authenticate with a pre-auth key we'll provide single command. - That's it — no application software needed Please include in your offer: - Your experience with Linux installations - Whether you'd prefer on-site or pickup/delivery - Estimated turnaround time Location: Donvale, VIC 3111 - for either option. Mini PC manufacturer has confirmed it supports Ubuntu and provided the following instructions. They are rather light. Please advise if you need more than this in order to do the task. This is the unit. https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0FVWWT9CQ?th=1 **Step 1: Try Advanced Boot Options** 1. After the "Preparing for Automatic Repair" screen, you will usually see a blue menu. 2. Please look at the bottom right corner of the screen and find and click **"Advanced options"**. 3. Once inside, please select **"Continue with Windows 11"** (or a similar option) to see if you can boot into the system normally. **If the above method is ineffective, the most direct and efficient solution is to reinstall the system.** **Step 2: Reinstall the System** **Important Note:** During the installation process, when the blue progress bar reaches **100%** and the computer **automatically restarts for the first time**, please **immediately remove the USB drive** to avoid an installation loop. Here is our Ubuntu installation package, you can install this. https://www.mediafire.com/file_premium/6fehc52q9yvv9cg/ubuntu-24.04.2-desktop-amd64.iso/file

Setting up home VPN network
$300
Wantirna South VIC 3152, Australia
16th Sep 2025
I need someone to help me setup my own VPN server and configure the home network (including modem and router) and teach me how to connect to my home vpn while I am using an external network. I have a Synology 218+ NAS, which has OpenVPN. I also have computers that can be used as a server. I managed to set up the OpenVPN server and was able to connect to the server from the client, but I have not been able to use the internet once connected to the VPN. I suspect there is a DNS issue and a port forwarding issue. Not sure.
Great experience with Ricky! Very knowledgeable and passionate!
