I am installing a new cooktop, but the wooden cabinet walls underneath the cutout are a TINY bit to high. Probably a centimetre or less. I need an experienced woodworker or cabinet maker to cut the top of these cabinet walls (marked up under the red circles - see pics). It would be great if you're available today (Friday). I need the existing hole in the timber panel behind my washing machine enlarged. The LG WashTower installer could not complete the installation because the hole is too small for the hoses to pass through. I only need the existing hole enlarged enough for the installation.

Cabinetry adjustment above gas stove – make compliant I need a cabinetmaker/handyman to modify the existing overhead cabinetry above a freestanding gas stove in a Richmond apartment. The current cupboard/extraction fan enclosure sits too low and protrudes over the cooktop. I need the cabinetry altered so there is sufficient clearance above the gas cooktop and the area can meet the applicable installation/compliance requirements. Work would likely involve: * Cutting back, shortening or reconfiguring the cupboard directly above the stove. * Adjusting/removing the lower section that currently protrudes over the cooktop. * Making good the cabinetry after alteration so it looks neat and finished. * Coordinating the finished dimensions with the required clearance for the gas cooktop/rangehood. Cabinet: any combustible cabinet surface directly above the gas cooktop should ideally be 650 mm or more above the top of the gas trivet. If it is lower than 650 mm, it needs compliant protection; nothing can be below 450 mm. an Photos attached showing the existing setup. Carpenter Required – Replace Damaged/Rotten Door Architrave & Timber Trim Task Description We require an experienced carpenter/handyman to repair and replace damaged timber architrave/trim around an internal doorway. Sections of the existing timber have deteriorated, particularly around the bottom corners and along the lower/side sections of the door frame. Please refer to the attached photos and measurements. Scope of works: * Remove the damaged/rotted sections of existing timber architrave/trim. * Supply and install replacement timber of a matching or closest available profile and dimensions. * Check the surrounding timber to ensure all deteriorated material is removed. * Cut and join replacement sections neatly into the existing architrave. * Fill nail holes, gaps and joins. * Sand and prepare repaired areas. * Caulk where required for a clean finish. * Prime and paint the new/repaired timber white to match the existing finish. * Remove and dispose of all damaged timber and waste. * Leave the work area clean and tidy. The attached photographs include measurements of the affected areas; however, the successful Tasker should confirm all dimensions on site before purchasing/cutting materials. We are looking for a neat, professional repair rather than a temporary patch.

I need 52sqm of flooring sanded and stained.

We’re after three thick shelves to be built into our corner wall to save space. We want the shelves to be angled so they become wider on the right hand side. See attached photos for space, and an ai photo for inspiration. Cabinet under shelves is not required. Just three shelves required. Dimensions: approximately 1420 mm-wide shelving unit. The depth should start at around 190 mm on the left and gradually increase to around 550 mm on the right, with the shelves following this angled/tapered profile. Essentially, we want the right-hand side of the shelves to project further out into the room rather than having a straight, uniform front edge.”

Timber courtyard door at an apartment in Richmond has become tight and is sticking/rubbing against the frame, particularly around the latch side. It takes more force than it should to open and close and can make quite a bit of noise when closing. Looking for someone to inspect and adjust the door so it opens and closes smoothly. It may need to be planed/shaved slightly and the exposed timber resealed, or otherwise adjusted as appropriate. Ideally looking to have this done fairly soon as the apartment is about to be made available for a long-term tenant.

Two floorboards are damaged and need replaced. The replacement boards don't need to perfectly match (this is coming ahead of a later renovation), but a close stain would be great.

We are adding carpet to 3 bedrooms and we need someone to shave the bottom of 12 doors (3 bedrooms and 9 wardrobe doors). The doors have been removed and labeled. We need the doors cut onsite which can be done outside or in our garage and then rehung the same day. The house is in Essendon.

A kitchen cabinet door - perspex - about 114cm high (so a bit heavy and bulky) needs to be rehung on 3 existing hinges - we have the fixing screws. The cabinet is above a benchtop. There are two other kitchen cabinet doors where the hinges need adjusting and another hinge on a laundry cupboard that needs to be re-clipped.

I wish to fit a robo vacuum under kitchen sink cabinet. This would require cutting the existing shelves and giving support.

I need a clean circular hole cut into the side of this steel cupboard. I cut a rough hole in it myself to feed the washine machine hose through, but I need a cleaner hole cut in before I move out. The laundry cupboard has one of those slim stainless-steel laundry troughs with a storage cabinet underneath, next to the washing machine. The washing machine will be moved out of the apartment on Friday 7 Aug so I'd like someone to come on Saturday 8 Aug.

Definitely a job geared towards a cabinetmaker. Will need to cut out for a range hold, rail for finger pull, kick boards to be cut to size and scribed to the floor. The oven carcass will also need work with the rail.

I have a solid timber buffet cabinet that is approximately 5–10 mm too wide to fit into an alcove in my apartment. The cabinet body fits—the issue is the decorative timber moulding around the base. I’ve already started removing part of the moulding (see photos), but the timber is much harder than expected and I’d rather have someone with the right tools finish it cleanly. I’m looking for someone experienced with woodworking/cabinetry who can: * carefully trim/remove the required section of decorative moulding * keep the visible cabinet looking neat * test-fit the cabinet into the alcove * stop once it slides in cleanly The cabinet does not need to be rebuilt or repaired—only the moulding needs trimming. Please bring your own tools (oscillating multi-tool, planer, router, chisels, etc.—whatever you think is most appropriate). I’d love this completed today or tomorrow if possible. Photos attached.

Carpentry works required to finish off house 1. Existing skirting to be installed - 25Lm to laundry, back door section and study. 2. Existing laundry door to be fitted with new screws. Hinges existing (May need adjusting as new flooring has been installed with floor prep 3. Rectify damaged weatherboards. Ideally and if it would look nice to cut and replace damaged sections to reduce cost (6Lm of actual damage) to LHS of property and (500mm of actual damage to) 1 section to RHS of property. If the entire length of weatherboard needs to be replaced then lengths amount to 33Lm. 4. Replace damaged plinth board to LHS of property - 9.5Lm All materials to be supplied by carpenter and happy to include in your cost.
