Hi, I need an experienced carpenter or kitchen installer to build and install a kitchen island using 3 IKEA METOD base cabinets in Northcote. This is NOT a simple assembly job, the cabinets must also be secured to my timber floor. The Task: Assemble the 3 METOD base cabinets. Anchor the Island: Devise and build the solution to firmly anchor the cabinets to the floor so the island is stable and will not move or tip. This will likely involve building a timber frame that is bolted to the floor, which the cabinets are then attached to. Install & Level: Install the 3 cabinets onto the anchored base, ensuring they are perfectly level and joined together. Fit Internals: Install all internal fittings: All drawers and doors All internal shelves 1 x pull-out garbage bin system Alignment: Ensure all doors and drawer fronts are perfectly aligned. Finish: Cut and fit the IKEA plinth (kickboard) around the base for a clean finish. Please Note: This job is for the island base and cabinets only. The benchtop will be installed separately. My balcony (approx. 5m x 2m) has an old wooden deck installed by a previous owner. I have started pulling it up but don’t have the right tools or time to finish. I need someone to: Disassemble and remove the wooden planks (approx. 10m² of decking). Deal with some rotten timber and rusted nails. Stack the removed timber on-site (no disposal required). I will clear the furniture off the deck before the task.
